International Day of Human Rights

Every year, the 10th of December is marked as the International Day of Human Rights!

The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights highlights that every individual should strive to respect fundamental human rights and freedoms.

“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights … Everyone has the right to life, liberty and, security of person. All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.“ – These are some of the principles of the Declaration, which are part of the basic legal acts of most modern countries of the world.

It is very important task of each individual to respect the principles of the Declaration, to be solidary and tolerant, and to take an active role in promoting human rights.
