International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Worldwide, the 3rd of December is marked as the Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Persons with disabilities are defined as persons who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments that can prevent their full and effective participation in society on an equal base with other people.
The main goal of celebrating this international day is to improve the life quality of people with disabilities, to minimize the effects of social exclusion, and to sensitize the public to the presence of people with disabilities in the community and the problems they deal with on a daily base.
On this occasion, Center Luka Ritz also supports the empowerment of people with disabilities as full members of our community.
