Human Rights Day
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10th of December. It is the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“Rights” are all we acquire simply by being a human. It is all we are allowed to be, to do or to have.
Here are some basic human rights: Marriage and Family, The Right to Your Own Things, Freedom of Thought, Workers’ Rights, The Right to Education and many, many others. 🙂
The principles enshrined in the Declaration are as relevant today as they were in 1948.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights empowers us, so we should all stand for our rights and those of others. 🙂
